Instructions
-----------
Blit 2! is an animated puzzle game. Your goal is to move the pieces of each puzzle into their correct places on the board. You have a limited amount of time to complete each level, so be quick!
To start the game, double click the Blit 2! icon. If you have either the "Color Game (Registered)" or "Color Game (Shareware)" file in the same folder as Blit 2!, the appropriate one will be loaded, otherwise you will be asked to find a game file.
After the splash screen loads, select "Play" from the Game menu. Select the skill level and then click the Play button to start. The skill level you select will determine the amount of time you get to solve each puzzle, and the number of points you get (more time and less points on Beginner, the least time and most points on Advanced).
Before each level, you get 5 seconds to study the completed puzzle, and memorize the movements of the animated objects over the puzzle (important for later levels!). Then the game will start. Click and drag the pieces of the puzzle to swap the piece you picked up with the one you drop it on. If swapping the pieces causes one to go in the right place, it will be drawn without a frame around it, and a special sound will be played. You get 50 points for each piece you put right (more or less points on advanced or beginner skill levels). If you swap the pieces and both end up in the right places, you'll hear a different sound and get 200 points (more or less points on advanced or beginner skill levels)!
Complete the level before time runs out, and you'll advance to the next round! You get extra bonus points for any moves & time you have left at the end of a level.
Starting on any level
-------------------
You can start a new game on a level besides level one, as long as you have reached that level before. At the beginning of each level, on the screen that tells you how much time you have to solve the puzzle, you will see a Level Password. Write that password down, and whenever you want to start a new game on that level, click the "Start At Level…" button in the New Game dialog and then type in the password of the level you want to jump to. Click OK and then click Play to begin.
Hints & Tips
-----------
On puzzles that have borders around the pictures, try to put the corner & edge pieces in place first.
On later levels, you won't be able to tell where a piece goes simply by looking at it. Instead you must watch the bouncing balls and other objects to see which pieces they move through. No matter how the puzzle is scrambled, the Blit 2! objects always move across the puzzle as if it were completed. If you see a ball bounce off the top of a piece, that means that the piece should be on the top of the puzzle.
